We experienced on case of Backwith-Wiedemann syndrome.
This female neonate manifested omphalocele, gigantism, facial nevus flammeus, Macroglossia, and
ear lobe grooves.
A brief review of related literature was done.

A clinical study of 92 HRV Antigen positive patients among 270 children admitted to the pediatric
department of II Sin Christian Hospital because of diarrhea between Sept. 1st 1986 and Aug. 31st 1987

Metatropic dwarfism is rare skeletal dysplasia characterized by short extremities, bulbous enlarge-
ment of the joints, joint limitation and progressive and ultimately severe kyphoscoliosis.
We have experienced one case of metatropic dwarfism. The diagnosis was established by clinical,
radiological and pathologic findings.
The patient was died six days after delivery. A brief review of literature was made.
